The Holiday Light Parade thrills locals as it winds it way through Prescott on its way to the Courthouse.

64th Annual Yavapai County Courthouse Christmas Lighting
Saturday, December 1, 2018, 6:00 pm-7:00 pm
Musical Groups will begin performing at 5:00 pm with traditional and new Christmas carols for everyone to enjoy. So make sure you bring the whole family, good friends and don't forget the chairs and warm blankets. Join in the fun and joy of Arizona’s Christmas City premier event!

Acker Night Holiday Music Walk

The Acker Night Holiday Music Walk combines participating downtown businesses with local musicians who both donate their time and talents. Their mutual goal and devotion to Prescott is to keep music alive and thriving for Prescott's youth.

There is a traditional and festive night every year in Prescott, which features local talented musicians. This event is called “Acker Night.” Prescott Guide discusses the history of Acker Night in Prescott and how it has influenced Prescott’s culture . "All the residue of my estate...I give to the City of Prescott to be used for parks and for promotion of music, particularly for children.” These words were part of the will of Prescott Resident, James S. Acker, who lived from 1865 until 1955. During the 1930's James S. Acker operated a real estate company. He soon began to accumulate parcels of property in and around the community. Granite Dells Prescott is a mile-high city, boasting scenic areas of pine forests, lakes, hills, and interesting rock formations. Granite Dells, just north of Prescott, is perhaps one of the most unique areas, with its lumpy, pink boulders that seem to rise out of the Watson Lake and Willow Lake areas. Peavine Trail winds through the area, named because its shape is that of a pea vine. Granite Mountain Just a short distance to the west, Granite Mountain stands at 7,628 feet and covers approximately 12 square miles. Granite Mountain has a cliff that is known to be one of the best rock climbing locations in the state of Arizona.
