Prescott Guide invites you to learn about the Artist in Residence program at the Hotel Vendome in Prescott
The arts are an incredible and beautiful part of Prescott. One of the ways Prescott supports the arts is through a great program for budding artists to grow and shine. The Artist in Residence (AIR) program is the brainchild of the Hotel Vendome and was designed to help promote the arts by offering free accommodation to artists - including authors, poets, musicians, photographers and more. The Residency In 2017 on the 100-year anniversary of the Hotel Vendome, the Artist in Residence program began. Emerging artists are invited into this two-to-three month program to hone their craft and showcase their artistry. The hotel has been a magnet for artists of all kinds, and even legendary actor Tom Mix - who starred in over 300 silent movie westerns during the 1920s - lived at the hotel while he filmed his movies in the area.
