Rodeo developed from the Spanish traditions of the vaquero but has become an integral part of American culture. Unlike any other sport, rodeo is an expression of the skills used in everyday life in America’s great West. Knowledge, athletic ability, and raw courage are brought together to be viewed by the enthusiastic crowds who flood the arena of the World's Oldest Rodeo®.

The World's Oldest Rodeo® is a major economic factor for the residents of Prescott and the surrounding communities. The event draws approximately 27,000 spectators each year. As a result, Prescott Frontier Days®, Inc. has been able to donate thousands of dollars in past years to charity organizations.
